Preventing a form getting added to "LastActivated Form" in Dynamics Ax

The Class "Infolog" has few methods corresponding to "Last activated form" like

                       - activate
                      - setLastActivatedForm
                      - parmLastActivatedForm
                      - close

     These methods help in you knowing, setting or getting the currently active form.

       Say you have a form like "Toolbar" or "Popup" form like Alerts or "Find" then you would prefer to prevent these form from being added to the lastactivated form. In such cases all you have to do is go to the "activate" method in infolog and add the following code

    if (formRun.name() != formstr(DocuView) &&
        formRun.name() != formstr(sysFormSearch) &&
        formRun.name() != formstr(EventAttentionGrabber) &&
        //added by kamal
        formRun.name() != formstr(MyForm)
       )
    {
        this.setLastActivatedForm(formRun);
    }

This would skip adding your form to the last activated form list.

New License system- End of ambiguity

Lastweek I read that Microsoft has changed the licensing system of Dynamics. It's a good shift from the old licensing system which was not just confusing for Companies Implementing in making a choice but was also ambiguous.

Under the new License Scheme the user gets access to all the modules, but the change is now license is issued on per user basis, i.e the pricing is based on the number of users.

Dynamics now comes in three different varieties of configurations as Microsoft Dynamics Business Essentials, Microsoft Dynamics Advanced Management and Microsoft Dynamics Advanced Management Enterprise

Rec Id's are no more integers, they have been changed to 64 bit integers. It just doesn't stop with it, they are no more unique across tables. So guys when you build your code make sure that use the data Type Recid, then

int.

There is one more book following steen anderson's "MORPHX IT", this time it is from Microsoft Press, titled "Inside Microsoft Dynamics™ AX 4.0"(Authored by Hans Skovgaard; Michael Pontoppidan; Lars Olsen; Arthur Greef). The book promises contents for Developers, consultants both at Intermediate and Advanced levels.

But we have to wait for some time coz the release is scheduled for the month of "August",
