DAX 09 is catching the fire guys..... these days i could see my alert inbox filled with lots and lots of information on DAX 09.

Here are few that i found interesting.... hope you to find them useful

Layers in Ax & The secret semicolon - MFP

MFP throws light over the new layers that will be coming up in DAX 09 and how it will enable mulitiple industrial solutions for Ax.

In the second one MFP has detailed the reason behind The secret semicolon and also details about the possibility of getting rid of it in DAX 6.0

Restricting Enum values in Combobox - Kashperuk

This a feature that i was looking for, now you can decide what elements from an enum will be available in the combo boxes. Thanks Kashperuk for bringing it out very earlier :)

Test driven development

Dynamics Ax 4.0 has lot of new features not only to users but also to developers. The newly added unitTestFramework is one such which going to assist in Test Driven development of Ax features. David pokluda has series of wonderful posts in his blog about this new framework and he is adding more to this series, keep checking it out.........

Stack Implementation classes in Ax

Dynamics Ax provides two different stack implementations the stack and stackbase namely. The stack class is based on containers, so you could push pop elements of anytype in to the stack where as the stackbase implementation is based on map and it allows the user to decide the content type of the stack at initialization, by default it is of type class.

(Please note: stackbase is available only in 4.0)

example:

//Creates a stack that can hold only strings
StackBase stackBase = new StackBase(Types::String);

//Creates a stack that can hold only type of data
Stack stack = new Stack();
